Frequently Asked Questions

Courses from Empire Learning are delivered in a convenient online format that allows your learning to be completed at any time, from anywhere with an internet connection.
Study materials are broken down into 10-15 minute sections with Check Understanding and Review Questions throughout the material. There will be a final exam at the end of the course which will require a score of 70% correct in order to receive credit.
A minimum amount of "seat time" is required in order to successfully complete any of our courses. "Seat time" is the amount of time spent reading through course materials and answering any exam questions. A timer is displayed on every page in the course materials showing how much time has been spent in the course as well as the minimum amount of time required before the final exam can be submitted.
Courses are all based on a 50-minute hour. For example, a 3-hour course will have a seat time requirement of 2 hours and 30 minutes.
Exams can be attempted as many times as needed. There are no additional fees or waiting periods in order to retake an exam. Please note that there are multiple versions of each exam and that questions will change for subsequent attempts.
Check Understanding and Review questions can also be attempted as many times as needed with no penalties.
Completion Certificates are provided immediately after passing the final exam for your course. Certificates can be accessed from the My Account page at any time after being awarded.
