This course will highlight the prominent fair housing and fair lending laws that every real estate licensee needs to be aware of when selling or leasing real property. It will also address the role that HUD plays in fair housing, the rights of LGBTQ persons, advertising issues with the Voluntary Affirmative Marketing Agreement (VAMA), and what course of action should be taken if a violation occurs. As of January 1, 2023, all first-time renewals are required to take a Fair Housing course with an interactive component.
