First Renewal?

1.	What are the steps to renew my license? Once you have completed your required continuing education, you can renew your license online by completing the qualifying questionnaire at: http://www.state.nj.us/dobi/division_rec/licensing/online_Instructions/index_rnwl.html
2.	Can I take classes online? Yes, the full continuing education requirements can be completed with online courses.
3.	Are there any limitations to how quickly I can complete my continuing education? The New Jersey Real Estate Commission requires a seat timer to ensure that courses cannot be completed in less time than the approved number of hours.
4.	I'm a Referral Agent - am I required to complete continuing education? No, Referral agents are not required to complete continuing education. Continuing education must be completed, however, to convert a Referral Agent license to an active Broker, Broker-Salesperson, or Salesperson license. The education requirements for accomplishing this vary based on your previous licensing status and length of time as a referral agent. This chart shows the relevant education requirements.
5.	What happens if I don't renew my license in time? To reinstate an expired referral agent license, applicants do not have to complete continuing education. However, CE is required to change license type from referral agent to other license types. To reinstate an expired broker, broker-salesperson or salesperson license within 2 years of expiry, applicants must complete the required 12 hours of CE credits before submitting an application
