- Salespersons may complete any WVREC-approved courses.
- Associate Brokers and Brokers must complete at least 3 hours of broker-level CE courses.

Who is Exempt From Completing Continuing Education in West Virginia for license renewal?
The following are exempt from the required continuing education, but are still required to renew their license each year:
- A licensee who held a license on 7/1/1969 and renewed it continuously thereafter.
- A licensee who is on inactive status.
- A licensee who qualified for a license by passing both the national and state licensing examinations during the year of the first required renewal on or before June 30 of that year.
How Can I Complete My West Virginia Real Estate Continuing Education?
Continuing education courses in West Virginia may be completed live in person in a classroom or webinar, or online. All providers and courses must be approved by the West Virginia Real Estate Commission.
