Pennsylvania Continuing Education Requirements

Pennsylvania real estate licensees are required to complete 14 hours of continuing education by May 31 of every even-numbered year. Due to COVID-19, the State Real Estate Commission has extended the education and renewal deadline for the current cycle to August 29, 2020.

For the 2018-2020 renewal period, licensees are required to take a minimum of 1.5 hours in the topic of Property Management and 2 hours in the topic of Advertising. The coursework must be completed between June 1, 2018 and August 29, 2020 in order to meet the requirement. Our 4-hour Digital Marketing course meets the Advertising requirement. Our 10-hour Property Management Fundamentals and 3-hour Property Management: Strategy, Operations and the Human Ingredient courses both meet the Property Management requirement. All Empire Learning "Second and Subsequent Renewal" packages contain courses to meet the requirements.

Licensees renewing for the first time must complete 14-hours of Commission-developed modules in order to renew their license. Our Pennsylvania: 14-Hour Mandatory First Renewal Course will satisfy the full requirement. First-time renewals do not need to satisfy the Property Management and Advertising requirements.
