All active and inactive New York real estate Salespersons and Brokers are required to renew their license every 2 years. There is no exception to this rule.
What Are the New York Real Estate Continuing Education Requirements?
All New York Salespersons and Brokers must complete 22.5 hours of continuing education every two years. This includes 1 hour of Agency (or 2 hours if it is your first renewal), 3 hours of Fair Housing, 2.5 hours of Ethics, 1 hour of Legal Issues, 2 hours of Implicit Bias, and 2 hours of Cultural Competency. The Implicit Bias and Cultural Competency requirements became effective on September 21, 2022.
When is the New York Real Estate Continuing Education Deadline?

How Can I Complete My New York Real Estate Continuing Education?
Continuing education courses in New York may be completed live in person in a classroom or webinar, or online. All providers and courses must be approved by New York Department of State Division of Licensing Services.
