Nevada real estate salespersons are required to complete 24 hours of approved continuing education biennially by the last day of the month in which the license was first received. The education includes mandatory requirements of at least 3 hours of Agency, 3 hours of Contracts, 3 hours of Ethics, and 3 hours of Law and Legislation. The remaining 12 hours may be taken in General courses with an optional maximum of 3 hours in personal development.
Real estate brokers are also required to complete 24 hours of approved continuing education biennially by the last day of the month in which the license was first received. The education includes the same mandatory courses required of salespersons, but must consist of an additional 3 hours in Broker Management and only 9 hours in General courses.
First time renewals for salespersons and brokers require a completion of the same continuing education requirements listed above, but an additional 6 hours of General courses are required of both salespersons and brokers giving a total of 30 hours required.
