New Jersey Real Estate CE Courses

New Jersey licensees are required to complete 12 hours of approved CE by May 31, 2021. 6 of the hours must be in Core courses, including at least 2 hours in Ethics and 1 hour in Fair Housing. Core courses are denoted below with a "C" or "M" for the Category.

No, Referral agents are not required to complete continuing education. Continuing education must be completed, however, to convert a Referral Agent license to an active Broker, Broker-Salesperson, or Salesperson license. The education requirements for accomplishing this vary based on your previous licensing status and length of time as a referral agent. This chart shows the relevant education requirements.
To reinstate an expired referral agent license, applicants do not have to complete continuing education. However, CE is required to change license type from referral agent to other license types.
To reinstate an expired broker, broker-salesperson or salesperson license within 2 years of expiry, applicants must complete the required 12 hours of CE credits before submitting an application
