Nebraska Real Estate License Renewal Requirements

Nebraska real estate licensees are required to complete 18 hours of continuing education biennially by November 30th. Of the 18 required hours, at least 12 hours must be in commission approved continuing education while the remaining 6 hours may be in broker-approved training. The 12 hours of commission approved continuing education must also consist of at least 6 hours in any of the designated subject matter listed below.

Current designated subject matter includes: NE License Law (or partial studies of it); NE Landlord/Tenant Act; NE Trust Account Maintenance (specific to NE manual); Agency/Brokerage Relationships; Fair Housing/ADA; Ethical Decision Making (not any specific code of ethics for a professional organization); Preparing a Certified Market Analysis (CMA) and/or a Broker Price Opinion; Environmental Concerns; Contracts.
