Kentucky licensees are required to complete a 6-hour Core course every 4 years. As of January 1, 2016, the Core birthday calendar will no longer be used and a licensee must take Core by the 4th calendar year of licensure. After you have taken the Core Course the first time, it is required every four years.

As of January 1, 2016, new sales associate licensees are required to complete 48 hours of post-license education courses within 2 years of obtaining a real estate license.

You can verify the continuing education that is required each year from the "Licensee Database" located on this website. You can also call the KREC to verify your Core Course year.

Please note that the Kentucky Real Estate Commission requires licensees to complete a course evaluation at the completion of each course in order to receive continuing education credit. You will be prompted to complete this evaluation upon completion of the final exam.
