Kansas Continuing Education Requirements
Kansas real estate licensees are required to complete 12 hours of approved continuing education biennially. The education must consist of 3 mandatory hours, called Kansas Required Core, and 9 elective hours.

Additional Information:
Effective January 1, 2019, KREC transitioned to a license expiration date calculation in which expiration dates for new licensees are the first day of the month two years after license issuance. For those with licenses issued prior to January 1, 2019, the expiration date is the first day of the month following their previous expiration date. CE Requirements
Non Resident Kansas Licensees:
Nonresidents must complete the Kansas mandatory hours, but may receive elective hours for courses approved by their state if:
- the course was completed after the issue date of the Kansas license;
- the course was completed within the current Kansas license renewal period; and
- the licensee submits the Individual Request Form, fee, and all required documentation to kreceducation@ks.gov.
