Georgia Continuing Education Requirements

Georgia real estate licensees are required to complete 36 hours of approved continuing education each 4-year renewal period by the last day of the licensee's birth month. The education must consist of at least 3 hours on the topic of License Law.

Salesperson Postlicense Requirement

Salespersons must take a 25-hour Salespersons postlicense course during their first year of licensure. The course taken must be one specifically approved by the Commission. Failure to complete a Postlicense course during the first year of being licensed will cause the license to lapse. As long as the license has not lapsed, the 25-hour postlicense course counts as 9 hours toward the 36-hour continuing education requirement, and Empire Learning offers a corresponding 27-hour package for the remaining first renewal requirement.
