Who Needs to Renew Their Georgia Real Estate License?
All Georgia real estate licensees are required to renew their license every 4 years. This includes all Salespersons and Brokers.
What are the Real Estate Continuing Education (CE) Requirements?
Salespersons must complete 36 hours of approved continuing education each 4-year renewal period by the last day of the licensee's birth month. The education must consist of at least 3 hours on the topic of Georgia License Law.

Brokers are required to complete 36 hours of continuing education each 4-year renewal period by the last day of the licensee's birth month.
- Brokers who renew their license with GREC on or before June 30, 2025 are required to complete at least 3 hours of Georgia License Law included in the 36 required hours to renew. Empire Learning's current 36-hour package will satisfy the requirement for this renewal.
- Brokers who renew their license with GREC on or after July 1, 2025 are required to complete at least 3 hour of Georgia License Law in addition to at least 18 hours of Broker CE topic courses included in the 36 required hours to renew.
Empire Learning does not offer CE Broker category courses at this time.
How Can I Check My Georgia Real Estate License Renewal Deadline?
Licensees can search on the GREC Public License Search for their license status and expiration date.
How Can I Complete My Georgia Real Estate Continuing Education?
Continuing education courses in Georgia may be completed live in a classroom or webinar, or online. All providers and courses must be approved by the Georgia Real Estate Commission.
