Who Needs to Renew Their Alabama Real Estate License?
Alabama active and inactive Salespersons, Associate Brokers, and Qualifying Brokers must renew their license every two years by August 31 of even-numbered years without a penalty. Licenses expire on September 30 of every even-numbered year and may be renewed during the month of September for a late renewal penalty fee.
What Are the Alabama Real Estate Continuing Education (CE) Requirements?
All licensees must complete 15 hours of CE every two years, including 3 hours of Risk Management. All Associate and Qualifying Brokers must also complete 3 hours of Mandatory Broker CE. The remaining hours may be in electives or any approved topic.
Inactive licenses do not require continuing education for license renewal.
